Questions clients ask before starting.
Ownership, NDAs, pricing, support, and how we work. If yours isn't here, just ask— you'll get a reply from the engineer, within 24 hours.
Getting started
What is the free prototype, exactly?
A real, clickable prototype of your core product — the key screens and the main flow — designed around your business before any contract or payment. It is free and carries no obligation. If you look at it and walk away, you owe us nothing. You can request one from the get-started page.
Do I get the prototype straight after submitting the form?
No, and deliberately so. We email you within 24 hours to arrange a short call first, because a prototype built from a form submission is a guess. On the call we work out what your product actually needs to do and what is worth building first; the free prototype is then designed around that conversation. The call and the prototype both cost nothing, and you only pay once the scope and the fixed quote are agreed.
How long does a project take?
Weeks rather than months. A well-defined MVP is typically three to four weeks from kickoff to a deployed product, and up to about six when there are heavier third-party integrations. The speed comes from AI-assisted development and from you talking directly to the engineer building it, not from cutting scope or skipping testing. Timelines vary by scope and by how quickly decisions come back from your side, so the specific dates are agreed in writing with the fixed-scope quote. Service-specific timelines are covered on each service page.
How do we start?
Send us a short description of what you want to build, either through the get-started page or directly by WhatsApp or email (hello@wizcodes.site). We email you within 24 hours to arrange a short call, and we scope the product together on that call. The free prototype is designed around that conversation, and the fixed quote comes after you have seen it.
Pricing & invoicing
How is your pricing lower than a traditional software company?
Because you are paying for engineering time and nothing else. There are no account managers, no sales layer, no markups, and no retainers. Modern tooling and AI also let a senior team ship production-quality software considerably faster than the pre-AI process most agencies still price for, and we pass that saving on rather than keeping it. Quality, security, and SEO are part of every build, not upsells.
How does pricing work? Is it fixed or hourly?
Fixed scope, one clear quote. We agree the scope and the price in writing before work starts, and anything beyond that scope is quoted before it is built. There are no change fees and no surprise costs. There is a fuller explanation on the pricing page.
What currency do you invoice in?
We invoice in USD. Clients in the UK and Europe can pay in USD, with GBP or EUR arrangements available on request. No hidden fees.
Ownership & support
Who owns the code, the accounts, and the credentials?
You do, 100%, from day one. Every project is deployed and submitted to your own hosting, App Store, and Play Store accounts, and you receive all code, repositories, credentials, and keys. Nothing runs on WizCodes infrastructure and there is no lock-in of any kind.
What happens after handover? Do you provide ongoing support?
Every project includes IT consulting and technical support as part of delivery, and we stay available after handover for questions and follow-up work. Because you own the code and the accounts outright, you are never dependent on us — you can continue with your own team or another studio at any point. Ongoing work is scoped and quoted the same way as the original build.
Working together
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes. Send us yours before we get into specifics, or ask and we will provide one. We are happy to sign before you share anything confidential about your product or business.
I am not technical. Can you still build my product?
Yes — a large share of our clients are non-technical founders and business owners. You talk directly to the engineer building your product, not an account manager, so there is no layer of translation. We explain trade-offs in plain language, and the free prototype exists precisely so you can judge the product by looking at it rather than by reading a technical document.
Why not just use an AI website builder or a one-prompt app tool?
They are genuinely good at producing a screen quickly, and if a generic template is all you need, that is a reasonable choice. What they cannot do is understand how your business earns, decide what is worth building first, integrate with the systems you already run, or be there in six months when something breaks. We start with a call about your business, design around what we learn, build it to production standards, and hand over code you own outright — with the engineer who wrote it still reachable afterwards.
Do you work with clients in the US, UK, and Europe?
Yes. We are remote-first and async-friendly across all timezones, and we have delivered work for clients in 11 countries across four continents, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Netherlands, Estonia, Poland, Ukraine, Nigeria, Belarus, Spain, and India.
Can you work with our existing codebase or alongside our team?
Yes. We take on existing codebases as well as greenfield builds, and we can work alongside an in-house team. For an existing project we start by reviewing the current code and architecture so the scope and quote reflect what is actually there rather than an assumption.
